Bishop Parkes has issued the following statement in response to Pope Francis' motu proprio Traditionis Custodes. You can read it here. Please pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit for the Holy Father, Bishop Parkes and the shepherds of the Church as they work to guide us.
COVID-19 Updates
Following the guidance of Bishop Parkes and the protocols of the State of Georgia we are implementing the following:
- Please do your best to maintain at least three feet of distance from those not of your household. Each individual and household should take personal responsibility for their decisions and show respect for others.
- The wearing of masks inside the church and other buildings is still highly encouraged.
- Holy water is returned to the entrances and will be refreshed each day.
- We are returning to the sign of peace. For those outside of your household please consider a wave, nod or bow instead of a handshake.
- We are returning the missalettes and hymnals to the pews. Handling and use of the hymnal is left to the individual.
